Students expected to have good attitude, work well with others
and be willing to take directions. Must also be available to
attend practice everyday after school.
Students must have passing grades and no disciplinary actions.
Newspaper School Year Heather Bird
Students need to have a love for all aspects of writing – finding
ideas, gathering info, interviewing, editing and publishing.
Meetings are 2 – 4 times a month from 2:05 – 3:00 p.m.
Students must fill out application with a writing sample and a
teacher recommendation form.
Science Olympiads November to April Ian Cameron
Lori Strickland
This is an academic competition between middle school students
throughout the state. Students compete in a variety of events from
three major categories: 1) science concepts and knowledge, 2) science
process and inquiry skills, and 3) science application and technology.
Students must go through the application process, do a student self-
evaluation, teacher recommendation and have good academic standing
in all classes.
Yearbook September to March Andrew Smith
Students will be responsible for checking proof sheets and completing a
section of the yearbook. (And having fun.)
Students must have good writing, computer and attention to detail skills.
Students with difficulties in academic subjects may apply. Meetings are
Monday and Wednesday 2:10 – 4:00 p.m.
